Class 3 - Courts and Trials

Class 4 - Charter of Rights and Freedoms

The course is pre-recorded and "at your own pace". THERE ARE NO LIVE MEETINGS. This course is open to all ages. You will receive the pre-recorded lectures via a Google Classroom page. Lectures will be posted weekly (Wednesdays, starting on October 7) but you can watch them at any time that is convenient for you.

This introductory Canadian Law course will explore how a law is made, an overview of criminal law, courts and trials while finishing with an introduction to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This course explores a variety of topics and issues within Canadian law in order to expose students to the breadth of the Canadian legal system. Using real, Canadian cases as a point of discussion and engagement, this course will function as lecture-based. There will be activities throughout the recordings where you can pause to test your own understanding.
